Bowls
Your bowls must be checked in as hold luggage and most
airlines now charge for this. Two bowls may be put into
your suitcase (but remember you may be charged an excess
if your case weighs more than the stated allowance), four
bowls must be checked in inside a sturdy case. Some clubs
have bowls available for hire at a minimal fee and some
will even loan free of charge. |
| |
Dress Code
Matches will be played in either whites or whites and
greys (depending on the dress code in your region) with
regulation bowling shoes. For men white, Bermuda length
shorts are also acceptable. Ladies may wear shorts or
culottes. Please remember to bring your "wets" and a white
sweater - just in case. We suggest you take your own bowling
shoes, which must be flats, though some clubs have a limited
supply for hire. |
| |
Weather
On occasions it may be necessary to cancel matches due
to adverse weather conditions. Jack High Group Bowling
Holidays cannot accept responsibility for this. In such
circumstances every effort will be made to reschedule
your programme. Jack High Group Bowling holidays will
not give a refund in the event of a cancellation. |
| |
Travel Documents
Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent a confirmation
invoice. Approximately 10 days before departure, you will
receive your travel wallet containing tickets, baggage
tags and final detailed itinerary with any necessary instructions. |
| |
Flight Timings
These may change at very short notice. Jack High has no
control over this or any flight delays - this is solely
the responsibility of the airline. |
| |
Insurance
Because we believe its so important that you are
adequately insured on your holiday, we have made it a
condition of booking one of our holidays. You may either:
accept the policy weve arranged, in which case the
premium will be added to your holiday invoice; or choose
a policy at least as good with another company. If you
chose a different company, you must tell us so that the
insurance company details and policy number can be recorded
by us. We must have this information before we can confirm
your booking. |

Know Before You
Go
We are working with the foreign and commonwealth office
to do all we can to ensure British travellers stay safe
overseas. Before you go overseas, check out the FCO website
at www.fco.gov.uk |

Special Requests
For any special requests (such as low floor
or special meals, etc) please inform us before you travel.
We will always do our best to meet your requirements,
BUT NO GUARANTEE IS GIVEN, as this does not form part
of your holiday contract. |
| |
Passports and Visas
A full passport issued by a member state of the European
Union and valid for at least six months after the date
of return to the UK, is required for these holidays. British
citizens travelling on these holidays do not require visas.
Holders of other passports should consult the appropriate
embassies prior to departure to check current visa requirements. |

Health
No vaccinations or inoculations are mandatory for British
subjects. The department of health produces the health
advice for travellers booklet (T7) which is available
from your local post office or by telephoning 0800
555 777 free of charge. Passengers are recommended
to carry a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Application
forms are available from post offices, by calling 0845
606 2030 or applying on line at www.dh.gov.uk.
Practitioners within the local health service only provide
treatments under EHIC Arrangements. If you need to call
out a doctor in an emergency make it clear you have an
EHIC and that you want to be treated under EC arrangements.
The cost of specialist medical treatment is high in the
countries to be visited and passengers must ensure that
they carry sufficient travel insurance to cover any unexpected
medical bills. |

Travellers with
Disabilities
Jack High Group Bowling Holidays is happy to welcome passengers
with special needs wherever the appropriate arrangements
can be made. Most airlines will offer additional assistance
for disabled travellers at airports and many hotels have
specially designed rooms for disabled guests. Please note
however, that we can only request such facilities on your
behalf if we know your requirements well in advance. We
therefore ask that anyone suffering from a medical condition
or disability, or simply needing a little extra help during
their holiday provide full details of their special requirements
on their reservation form. Passengers with a disability
must be accompanied by an able bodied person who is willing,
and able, to assist them where necessary. Should you have
any concerns regarding the suitability of a holiday prior
to making your booking, please contact our reservation
department on 0191 497 4515
where a member of staff will be delighted to help you. |
