BEFORE YOU PURCHASE
THIS TRAVEL INSURANCE WE ARE REQUIRED UNDER THE "ASSOCIATION
OF BRITISH INSURERS GENERAL CODE OF PRACTICE" TO BRING
TO YOUR ATTENTION A NUMBER OF IMPORTANT ASPECTS CONCERNING
THE TRAVEL INSURANCE FEATURED IN THIS BROCHURE:
Insurance Policy:
This contains the full details of the cover provided
and the conditions and exclusions which apply. You must
read the insurance policy carefully.
Conditions, Exclusions
and Warranties: These limit or restrict the cover
provided. Some apply to all sections of the insurance
whilst others only apply to specific sections.
Health:
The insurance contains conditions that relate to your
health and that of others not necessarily travelling
with you but upon whose well being the holiday may depend.
In particular pre-existing medical conditions may not
be covered.
Property Claims:
The insurance and other travel insurances do not provide
cover on a 'new for old basis'. This means that claims
will be paid on the basis of the value of your property
at the time of loss.
Policy Limits:
Most sections of the policy have limits on the amount
the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections
also include inner limits e.g: For any one item, or
for valuables in total.
Policy Excesses:
Claims under most sections of the policy will be subject
to an excess. Where there is an excess, you will be
responsible for paying the first part of the claim.
Reasonable Care:
You are required to take all reasonable care of yourself
and your property and to act at all times as though
you are not insured.
Complaints:
The insurance policy includes a Complaints Procedure,
which tells you what steps you can take should you need
to make a complaint.
Hazardous Activities:
The insurance may not cover you when you take part in
certain sports or activities where there is a high risk
of injury. You must check that the insurance covers
your requirements.
This insurance will be subject to
English Law unless you and your insurers agree otherwise.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ YOUR INSURANCE POLICY CAREFULLY
